Canunda National Park follows the coast from Southend to the fishing village of Carpenters Rocks (near Mount Gambier). As we had driven through this park numerous times we decided to do it in the opposite direction and finish at Southend. We never made it that far as the beaches were SO SOFT and such hard going that we had to drive most of it in the dunes, so we bailed out late in the day and returned to camp at Millicent. We returned to do the rest of it a few days later but a night of rain had completely changed the beaches and it was an easy drive to Southend!
