The army takes over four stations in October. They are currently packing up and readying for the clearing sale.
Properties are not far out of Whyalla. Let me know if you’re passing through and we can go for a look.
Thank you Andrew for the memories i have of good old “Middleback Station” As a young bloke from 19 i use go there, i use to go withe the station hands step daughter, this was back in 1974. had great times there and around Whyalla to Iron Knob.
Great shots of the place, shame what has happened to the place.

Hi. I see a pic of graves you have at Middleback Station. I was wondering if it is near the homestead as I would like to go out and photograph it with permission from the army, as I am compiling a book of pastoral and forgotten graves.

What’s the story ? Can anyone visit the station? Is it abandoned?
Coridinates?

I believe they are memorials only and not graves.
The family would most likely have removed them.
cheers
